History: The Elgin County Courthouse designed by architect John Turner was first built between 1852-1854 and reconstructed in 1898 after a serious fire.

Facility: The law library is located in the west wing on the second floor. A TV/VCR are available for viewing videotapes and the library offers beautiful oak work tables for use.

Accessibility: The entire Courthouse in not wheelchair accessible.
