Hours: Monday - Friday 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Serves: Approximately 500 lawyers and articling students in the Waterloo Region with a population of almost a half a million.
Services: Photocopying, printing, scanning and emailing, document delivery and interlibrary loan.
Special Collections: The law library has complete and original statutes of Ontario beginning in 1867 including RSO's 1897 to current, Statutes of Canada (Upper Canada) 1841. There is also a collection of English Public General Statutes beginning in 1880, The Upper Canada Law Journal beginning in 1856 and the complete Canadian Railway Cases beginning in 1902. Also of interest is an original 10 volume Collection of Statutes Connected with the General Administration of the Law dated 1836.
History: The original Declaration of Incorporation dated December 31, 1894 is held in the LSUC archives. Also in the archives is the first membership list dated December 31, 1887 which consists of 38 lawyers, registrars and police magistrates. The librarian was an appointed or volunteered trustee who assumed the position part time for $100/yr. The first official librarian was hired in 1935 and remained until 1972. Ms. Malvern is only the 4th library staff member in the 110 year history of the library.In 2008 Wanda Haayen joined the staff as a full time Library Technician

Facility: The library has 8 large work tables, 2 study carrels and a telephone for lawyers use. The adjacent Barristers Lounge doubles as a board room with seating for 14 and may be booked through the library for meetings. Robing rooms and washroom facilities for men and women are adjacent to the library.
