"The Law Society of Upper Canada, with the assistance of the resources of the Great Library, supports the administration of justice and the rule of law in the Province of Ontario". So begins the Access to the Law Policy regarding the provision of legal information.

The county and district law libraries and LibraryCo endorse and adopt this policy which is a companion piece to accompany the document Custom Copying for Staff. This latter document, a policy statement to assist lawyers and law library staff in the county and district law libraries regarding copyright privileges and obligations under the Copyright Act.

These documents are posted in all county and district law libraries in Ontario.
