Most of the collection can be signed out, except for the legislation collection and selected texts.
Federal and Ontario statutes from the 1850s to 2010 including consolidated regulations, and selected British law reports, 1850s to 1999.
The Thunder Bay Law Association was formed in 1905.

The library is located on the second floor of the Thunder Bay Consolidated Courthouse in Room 2201 overlooking Paterson Park and includes the library office, the collection, work tables, computers and a copier/printer. Fax services available upon request. Adjoining the library is the lawyer’s lounge, with accessible washrooms, the gowning rooms, a small kitchenette, television, and telephone. Entry to the TBLA library/ lounge is controlled via electronic access cards. Visiting counsel can contact the library regarding access.
