LibraryCo has developed generic job descriptions for the library staff positions in the association law libraries as follows:
- Law Library Assistant – entry level
- Law Library Assistant
- Law Library Technician
- Reference / Assistant Librarian
- Law Library Director
Model Employment Contract
LibraryCo has developed a Model Employment Contract for use by the associations. It was adopted by the Board on September 11, 2009 and reviewed in 2012. Associations are expected to use it with all new hires. It does not apply to existing employees.
Benefits Advice Form
A new procedure has been created to assist the county and district law libraries in advising the Law Society of Upper Canada of any changes (such as new hires, terminations, salary changes, changes to hours of work, etc.) to employment that affect benefits.
